About

Welcome to my blog, Art & Lemons. My name is Nikki Gardner and I’m a photographer and author obsessed with good stories, art, and food. I started cooking at age seven and I hold an MFA in Creative Writing and completed coursework for an MFA candidate in Photography/Studio Arts. I offer film and digital photography workshops throughout the States, a forthcoming e-course, and the first chapter of my ebook, Behind The Lens: The Art of Developing Your Photographic Vision hit the Art & Lemons shop in November 2012.

Four years ago, I created this blog as a place to write, be creative, and eat well. I love all things vintage modern and am a mix of both. I shoot film and digital formats and while I love them both for different reasons, my heart truly belongs to film. I also adore vintage clothes, kitchen ware, and film cameras. Here, you’ll find d.i.y. kitchen and photo videos, snippets of everyday life, and straightforward vegetarian recipes made with whole and natural ingredients (often sourced close to home).

I like to think of this space as a communal studio, where we share coffee, swap stories, and make food and art. Come on in, grab a seat, and make a mess (no clean up required). I hope you leave here inspired to tell or story or two, start a new art project, or make a meal for someone you love.

Thanks for stopping by.
